Sophie’s Search for No-Where

By Kingsley L. Dennis

(Illustrated by David M. Miller)

Sophie’s Search for No-Where shows us that the Imaginal World can be both a curious and an unsettling place – it is not for everyone.

Kingsley L. Dennis, Ph.D., author of several books exploring the connections between technology, psychology, science and spiritual wisdom, has written his second book for young readers. Sophie’s Search for No-Where will be published in June 2017 by the Beautiful Traitor Books imprint. The book, complete with thirty-one full page hand-drawn illustrations from painter David M. Miller, presents an Imaginal World where only children can enter. It is an enchanting world where through each encounter Sophie is either helped or hindered along her path, having to solve riddles, get out of tricky situations, and above all – to trust her instinct. The book shows us that the Imaginal World can be both a curious and an unsettling place.

Several of Dennis’ earlier titles have been collaborations with fellow futurist, Ervin Laszlo. His books have been praised by such luminaries as Larry Dossey, Deepak Chopra, Duane Elgin, James O’Dea, John L. Petersen, P. M. H. Atwater, and Miriam Knight. One of Dennis’ most recent works, The Phoenix Generation, explores how a new wave of young children coming into the world will influence and catalyze new social relations and cultural norms.

Says Dennis, “The overriding concern in all of my writing is human thinking, behavior, and the possibilities for transcending ourselves. With the Sophie book I wished to give all these potentials, and responsibilities, into the hands of children. It is their world now.”
